Just Because It's Open House Day - Saturday, June 13th...

Just Because...we must sacrifice it doesn't mean we will be without. Sacrifice does lead to wonderful experiences. This year, many of us will be experiencing the sacrifice of that long awaited vacation to go to Hawaii, or Las Vegas or overseas.

Instead, the Staycation will take its place. Home will be our base - not a hotel. Staying close - not visiting the Taj Mahal (either in Las Vegas or India). Enjoying our surroundings - Walnut Beach on Long Island Sound and not the Pacific or Indian Oceans. Enjoying family and friends - not the French or Hawaiians.

Just Because...we will be reforging bonds thought lost, finding lost treasures in our state - art galleries, museums, sea aquariums, the Beardsley Zoo, Audubon Societies - we will ultimately realize that staying close to home isn't as bad as we thought after all.

Just Because...you are close to home, we ask that you do come join us as we experience our Staycation on Saturday, June 13th, celebrating Connecticut's Open House Day. June 13th is the day Connecticut opens its doors to its citizens - their family members and friends - to become reacquainted with Connecticut's treasures. Your company is requested between 1:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
  • Enjoy the art of 23 artists and artisans at SoBoBo and...Just Because... you visited you will receive a print of an original artwork done by a local artist/artisan for FREE.

  • Enjoy the culinary art of Walnut Beach Creamery where ice cream is made on the premises and...Just Because... you buy ice cream, you will receive a FREE T-Shirt.

  • Enjoy in a wonderful discussion about the art or music playing when you have coffee, tea, or lattes and eating culinary treats at Walnut Beach Cafe and...Just Because... you buy one drink you will get one drink for FREE.

To receive your FREE item(s) - you need to show your Connecticut Driver's License or Connecticut State I.D. at each establishment to show us you are a citizen of Connectitcut. It is our discretion to give the free items to people from out of state.

Just because... you sacrificed that vacation for a staycation, you found more - things to do, places to go, people to visit!

ALL OF THIS ON SATURDAY, JUNE 13TH IS JUST BECAUSE...

Unique Meets Sublime

Have you ever walked through the woods observing and absorbing the grandeur, looking in awe at the beauty that Mother Nature had designed? How the wood looks different each time you return, finding something new each time? How no one thing is the same? Well, that is how it is when you enter through the door at SoBoBo Art Gallery & Consortium. Not one artist's or artisan's work, who is exhibiting in SoBoBo, is the same -- each is unique meeting sublime.

Welcome! to SoBoBo Art Gallery & Consortium. We are opened every Saturday & Sunday from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm. We are located in the Village of Walnut Beach at 17 Broadway, Milford, Connecticut.

The art of twenty-three artists and artisans is exhibited with a unique ambiance that enhances the true beauty eminating from each piece. When you visit SoBoBo once, and return a second time because it does call you back -- you will experience the energy of change and yet a sense of balance and harmony, like walking through the woods. You will spot something new each time you return. A treasure hiding in the nook and cranny of the wood.

Do come in and look around and be surprised at what you find!

See you soon!
