Perhaps before you arrive at Firehouse Gallery to see the new exhibit you might want to stop off at The Lazy Lobster and enjoy a sumptuous, savory, and mouth watering lobster roll that is to die for! Large pieces of lobster, (not the teensy weensy shreds seen at other places,) on a buttered, toasted roll...Did you know that Lazy Lobster is appearing in an article in the Connecticut Magazine?...that must mean it's true - their lobster rolls are the BEST!
When you are done eating, mosey on up to the Firehouse Gallery, 81 Naugatuck Avenue, to get close up and personal with art! Meaning, enjoy viewing the wonderful works of art of local artists who have entered them into Firehouse Gallery's exhibit - "Close Ups." Look and see how each art piece was created! Speak to the creators! Listen to what they have to say - their statements (explanations) of how and why they came up with the work!
It is a juried show and awards will be given. Enjoy the drinks and appetizers.
The juror for this exhibit is Puneeta Mittal. Born and raised in India, Puneeta currently resides in NY where she obtained an MA in studio art from Adelphi University and an MFA from Long Island University.
